I know impatience well - it makes me hard on myself. It probably makes me hard on others although that isn't always so obvious. The antidote to impatience, I've learned, is WAITING AND WATCHING.
Many of us we have grown up in a world of plenty. We risk living under the illusion that we can have what we want when we want it. This illusion may be one of the root causes of addictions that hurt us, our relationships, our work, our lives.
When we think about addictions it's easy to think about dugs and alcohol but some of the more hidden ones, such as work, shopping, television, social media ... may be just as damaging.
